REVIEW: FEVERSONG (Fever #9) by Karen Marie Moning

About this book:

#1 New York Times bestselling author Karen Marie Moning returns with the epic conclusion to her pulse-pounding Fever series, where a world thrown into chaos grows more treacherous at every turn. As Mac, Barrons, Ryodan, and Jada struggle to restore control, enemies become allies, right and wrong cease to exist, and the lines between life and death, lust and love, disappear completely.

Black holes loom menacingly over Dublin, threatening to destroy the Earth. Yet the greatest danger is the one MacKayla Lane has unleashed from within: the Sinsar Dubh—a sentient book of unthinkable evil—has possessed her body and will stop at nothing in its insatiable quest for power.

The fate of Man and Fae rests on destroying the book and recovering the long-lost Song of Making, the sole magic that can repair the fragile fabric of the Earth. But to achieve these aims, sidhe-seers, the Nine, Seelie, and Unseelie must form unlikely alliances and make heart-wrenching choices. For Barrons and Jada, this means finding the Seelie Queen who alone can wield the mysterious song, negotiating with a lethal Unseelie prince hell-bent on ruling the Fae courts, and figuring out how to destroy the Sinsar Dubh while keeping Mac alive.

This time, there’s no gain without sacrifice, no pursuit without risk, no victory without irrevocable loss. In the battle for Mac’s soul, every decision exacts a tremendous price.

This book...
This Book.
THIS BOOK!!!

The feels I have right now cannot be named.. So many feels it is ridiculous if you ask me.

*blows nose*

I remember the first time I've started this series. I remember how I was hooked from the start and how after I read all of the existing books I was mad and sad at the dear author for not producing them faster!

But now, I am not mad or sad because of that.. I'm mad and sad because the journey is over.. and what a journey it was! And although there will be at least one more, Dani's novel, maybe even more than just that one, and maybe with the same characters, I feel like this book wrapped it all up. Mainly I'm just sad now.. because it ended..

But don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed this book and all of the books before this one tremendously! So much so that that is why I am so sad at the moment. I feel like there's been a huge dot placed at the end of this book.

Now I know I wasn't always happy with the authors decisions, but I am happy I had the pleasure to read these books. They made me think and feel so much!

I am not gonna spoil you the opportunity to read this for yourself. Was there a HEA? Well you'll just have to read it to know. I might add that before reading this book one must have to be prepared to cry at times or at least feel sad. Because there can be no good if there's no bad... right?
All in all I loved this book.. I am amazed once again with the authors ability to truly touch my heart.
And I'm indescribably happy to have had the opportunity to know my beloved characters, to see them grow, to feel happy and sad and hurt with them, to cry with them and laugh with them. So again thank you Karen Marie Moning, you gave me so much I cannot describe. I've re-read this series so many times I can't count, and I know I will be re-reading it in the future as well.

“Things never stop going wrong. Life isn’t about waiting for peace to arrive, it’s about learning to thrive in the midst of war.”

So if you want my opinion on whether or not to read this book, you should know the answer by now. It is always Yes! Yes, because you read all of the books before this one, and if you haven't, what the hell are you waiting for??? And YES, because it is great and we all need few hundred pages of great once in awhile in our lives!

Peace,
A.
